Preferred subject: Seascapes, landscapes, skies.

Favourite painter: Good question – no answer so far.

Scariest painter: ROTHKO!

Top tip: Failing better. Even if it does not go as you wish – if it was better than last time or you learned something then you have succeeded. It’s easier than trying to get it right all the time because you never do.

Inspiration:

I found deciding my inspiration perverse,

So I had to transcribe it into verse:

I take up my brush like a glittering mace,

To be able to create my own perfect place.

Which knows nothing of common norms ,

But the creation of beautiful forms,

Which then do foment to capture a magic moment.

And when I have slipped my living coil,

I trust you will still appreciate my artistic toil.

And of course, the next painting might just be THE one!
